BBQ chicken is a quick dish that always works: spiced marinated chicken cooked crisp and brushed generously with smoky barbecue sauce. With rice or chips it becomes a firm favourite.
1. Season the 600 g chicken breast fillet with salt and pepper and rub it with the 2 cloves crushed garlic.
2. Brown both sides in the 2 tablespoons hot oil.
3. Brush it generously with half of the 200 ml barbecue sauce.
4. Bake in a 180 °C oven until done, brushing it several times with the remaining sauce.
5. Serve with rice or chips.
Tip: Brush on the final layer of sauce only at the very end of cooking – it burns easily because of its sugar content.
