Shawarma is spiced, juicy chicken, cooked over high heat, then sliced thin and stuffed into flatbread.
1. Turn the chicken breast through the marinade mixed from the yoghurt, the crushed garlic, the cumin, the paprika and salt, and rest it for at least 2-4 hours.
2. Cook it in a hot pan or in the oven, until the edges are lightly browned and the meat is cooked through.
3. Cut it into thin strips.
4. Stuff it into warm flatbread, add vegetables, and serve with a sauce.
Tip: Resting the yoghurt marinade is what makes the meat really juicy – it is best fresh and hot.
