1. Whisk the yoghurt smooth in a jug or bowl.
2. Gradually pour in 400 ml of cold water (even more refreshing with sparkling water), whisking all the time, until you have an even, milk-like drink.
3. Season with a pinch of salt – it should be slightly salty, that's what really quenches thirst.
4. Pick the mint leaves, rub a few between your fingers and add them to the drink to release their aroma.
5. Pour into glasses filled with ice cubes and garnish with the remaining mint leaves.
6. Serve ice-cold, especially with rich, spicy meat dishes, khorovats or zhingyalov hats – Armenia's most popular refreshing drink.
Tip: Frothed in a blender it becomes even lighter and creamier. If you have some to hand, you can also stir in a pinch of dried mint or finely chopped cucumber.
