The Full English Breakfast is a generous, one-plate feast – its secret is the timing, so everything reaches the table warm at once.
1. In a large pan fry the bacon slices and the sausage golden, then keep them warm.
2. Cut the black pudding into rounds and fry it crisp on both sides in the remaining fat.
3. Fry the button mushrooms and the halved tomato (the latter cut-side down) in the pan.
4. Heat the beans through with the tomato purée and a pinch of salt in a small pot.
5. Toast the bread slices, and in the pan, in the remaining fat, fry the eggs sunny-side up.
6. Arrange everything at once on one large plate, and serve sprinkled with freshly ground black pepper.
Tip: Keep the finished elements in the oven at 80 °C, and fry the eggs last – this way everything is warm on the plate at the same time.
