The pulled chicken sandwich is an American favourite: chicken cooked soft and torn into shreds with a fork, in smoky barbecue sauce, in a crisp bun. Filling and always a hit.
1. Put the 600 g of chicken breast fillet into a pot with the diced 1 onion and the 200 ml of meat stock, salt and pepper it, and cook it tender under a lid.
2. Take out the meat, and tear it into shreds with two forks.
3. Mix it generously with the 200 ml of barbecue sauce (keep a little of the cooking liquid).
4. Cut the 4 hamburger buns in half, and toast them on their cut sides.
5. Fill them with the pulled chicken, and lettuce and a pickle to taste.
Tip: Keep a little of the cooking liquid, so the chicken stays juicy.
